BaFin determines compensation case for Bank Sepah-Iran, Frankfurt am Main Branch
The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) determined on 10 September 2026 that compensation is payable to Bank Sepah-Iran Frankfurt am Main Branch, as a Branch of Bank Sepah Headquartered in Tehran, Iran depositors in accordance with Section 10(1) of the German Deposit Guarantee Act (Einlagensicherungsgesetz, EinSiG).
Bank Sepah-Iran is part of the Deposit Protection Fund of the Association of German Banks (Einlagensicherungsfonds innerhalb des Bundesverbandes deutscher Banken e.V.) and the Compensation Scheme of German Private Banks (Entschädigungseinrichtung deutscher Banken GmbH, EdB).
